Theodore W. Sell, Ted, was born to the Rev. Daryl E. Sell and Judith A. Sell in Denver, Colorado in 1971 and he has two older brothers and a sister. The family moved often throughout northern Colorado and western Nebraska and Ted attended high school in Hayden, Colorado, where he graduated Salutatorian in 1989. Ted pursued his childhood dream of seeing the world and serving his country by enlisting in the US Navy, where he served as a Fire Control Technician on board the USS David R. Ray (DD-971) for four years and rose to the rank of Fire Controlman Second Class Petty Officer. Ted chose to not reenlist and returned to Colorado to raise his son while pursuing his Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and a career in state politics. Ted ran for the Colorado House of Representatives in District 3 and later served as Communications Director and Deputy Chief of Staff to Colorado’s Lieutenant Governor Joe Rogers.

Having completed his Bachelor’s Degree, with honors, from the Metropolitan State College (now University) of Denver in 2003, Ted relocated to Las Vegas, Nevada. After remarrying, Ted fulfilled a long-time dream of practicing law by enrolling in the William S. Boyd School of Law at the University of Nevada Las Vegas and graduated in 2010. Although Ted obtained his license to practice law in the State of Colorado, he chooses to remain in Las Vegas for this is his home.

Ted began his work for the law firm of Ranalli Zaniel Fowler & Moran, LLC in August 2015, and looks forward to continuing to develop in his career after passing the bar. Ted is married to Sandra L. Sell and has two sons, a daughter, a daughter-in-law and one grandson. Ted is involved in his church and enjoys his family, singing, raising and breeding Swedish Vallhunds, target shooting, gaming, historical re-enactment and costuming, science fiction, and camping.
